I have reinstalled fallout 4 several times now and am at my wits end. I am hoping I am not the only one whose has had this error. All reports indicate SS2 is better in many ways than SS1, but I essentially passionately hate Fallout 4 without an Alternate Start mod. I am not including my load order because I have confirmed the the mod starts normally with my entire LO minus Start Me Up (among other tests I conducted). 'no script attached to object contains function skip to quest' Unfortunately, this resulted in the following error: I saw on the forums to skip quests using a code in this kind of situation, and I have tried the following code plucked from the troubleshooting guide:Ĭqf ss2_mqmaster SkipToQuest SS2_Sirick_MQ02 I've tried various things, including using start me up but choosing the vanilla start as well as spawning in the SS2 holotapes all to no avail. Picking up the magazine doesn't add any items and building the recruitment beacon anyway does not spawn in Jake. So the specific error is the start: I can't seem to start the mod. I won't go into too many details but long story short I am absolutely certain that Start Me Up is conflicting with SS2.

I have taken hours days now tracking down this error, slowly digging through all the forums I could find and eventually loading my mods 1 by 1 until I found the error. Normally with mod conflicts I just delete the mod in question, but seeing how passionately I hate the beginning of this game, Alternate Start Mods are a must have for me.

So, I'm a big fan of SS1 with many hours logged, so I loaded up a new game with SS2 and discovered a bug with Start Me Up that prevents me from starting the mod.
